Where is an International Permit Valid and for how long?

Your international permit may be used in any country which is listed under the convention, located on the inside of the front cover of the permit.
The international permit must be used along with a valid driver's license issued in the same country as the permit.
The international permit is valid for 1 year or until your drivers license expires, whichever comes first.
Your international license is not valid in the country where it was issued.

How do I obtain a Jamaica Dirver's License if I have an International Permit?

If you did not have a Jamaican drivers license before you may do the following: - Submit the foreign driver's license and be exempted from some of the tests necessary to obtain the Jamaican driver's license. - Keep the foreign driver's license and do all the necessary tests to obtain the Jamaican driver's license.
You will not need a provisional (learners) license to obtain the Jamaican driver's license if you present a valid drivers license from the country you lived in previously.
