City of Kingston Automobile Loan Requirements

To access any of our services, you must first become a member, which is a very simple process. We offers varying types of loans to our members including car loans. General fatures of the COK Car loan package include:

  •   Free Insurance on savings and Loans
  •   Insurance Premium Financing
  •   Loans on cars up to 8 years old
  •   Immediate Approval of loans secured by cash
 
I Can Achieve my Goals…
 
  •  For New Vehicles - COK will finance up to 90% of the cost of new vehicles with a repayment period of 5 years.

  •  For Used Vehicles - Up to 70% financing is provided for motor vehicles 1 to 4 years old and this attracts a maximum repayment period of 4 years. COK also provides 50% financing for vehicles 5 to 8 years old with a maximum repayment period of 3 years.
Ease of Arrangement of a loan
Speak to a Member Service Officer at a branch nearest you, who will advise you on your particular situation in acquiring the car of your dream.
Same day approval/Approval time-table:
Loans secured by shares, cash or near cash are approved within the same day of application. In other cases, approval is dependent on the timeliness of information as well as the complexity of the security. We however aim at approval within five (5) days.
Repayment Flexibility

We recognize that persons have extreme demand for time and we have made it easy to service your account through any of the following methods:

  •  Salary deductions
  •  Standing Orders
  •  Post Dated cheques
  •  Over-the-counter payments
Optional Collateral
Secure the car of your dreams by providing one of the following:
  •   Cash or near Cash
  •   Cash Value on Insurance Policies
  •   Investments
  •   Land Title
