HISTORY
GM-Challenger (GM-C) is a full service dealership for Chevrolet in Jamaica since 1999. The company also deals in used Japanese vehicles due to the predominance of these units in the Jamaican market. GM-C currently operates from the central area of the city on a major thoroughfare (Molynes Road). The company has sold over 300 Chevrolet motor vehicles since opening the dealership in mid 1999 and over 2200 used units since it started trading in this area in 1996. The company offers auto repair services with state of the art equipment and auto parts sales on a grand scale, with sixteen service bays. GM-C also offers an exclusive Japanese auto parts service center at its other branch located at 24 Lyndhurst Road.
GM-C is a division of Challenger Transport Company Limited, which started as a family-owned business and was incorporated in Jamaica in 1986. It has been under the ownership of the Pagon family since inception and has grown from a public transport service provider and auto parts retailer to a major force in the Jamaican automobile sales and service industry, currently ranking amongst the top four in the country in commercial vehicle sales. |
